I met the S family back in the summer of 2016 when they were celebrating making it through the first year of their first kiddos life! G was just starting to walk and holding his little arms in the air for balance as he toddled along the wooden bridge backed by the foothills just outside of Fort Collins. Fast forward a year and a half and now G is the big brother and I got to see him for his baby sister’s newborn pictures!

Going from only child to big brother is such a big transition not just for G but for the whole family! I distinctly remember Harper’s last day as an only child. I was scheduled for induction with my second baby so we knew it was the last day. We spent the day visiting the farm and having “coffee” together. We went to dinner as a family of 3. As a mom, I worried about how I’d handle two kids. Would I be able to give both of them the love and attention they needed/deserved? Of course, every mom I knew reassured me that the love just grows and they were right. Not just the love for the new baby but somehow you fall more in love with your 1st child and your spouse watching them grow into their new roles.

It was such an honor to watch the S family as they are growing into their new roles with baby Blair’s arrival. She is the sweetest little babe and slept like a dream for her newborn pictures. We started with the family images so that G could go hang with daddy and still got his nap! He was such a proud big brother, holding this tiny bundled up baby girl with a big grin on his face!
