“Your first child makes you parents; your second makes you a family”

Mama shared this quote with me at their session and it totally set the mood for Saxby’s newborn photos. Snuggled up on the studio bed looking down at their newest little family member, you could feel the love and pride oozing out of this sweet family. Big Brother Z did a great job holding his brother when his turn came and gave the sweetest quick kisses! The bedroom set in the studio is perfect for siblings in that 2-3 year old group because they feel comfortable and baby is safe and cushioned. These images are timeless and great way to remember your first baby becoming a sibling.

Saxby was a tiny little guy at just 6 lbs 10 oz and 20.25 inches long. Babies come into the studio under 3 weeks old and sometimes are not back up to their birth weight by the time they see me. I love this too short stage when baby is sleeping so hard and I’m able to document all of their tiny little features and just how small they are. You blink and they don’t fit in your arms quite the same way anymore. That pouty lip shows the milk blister of the early days of nursing. The little eyelashes remind you of the hours you sit and watch your new baby sleep.
