Let’s face it, we aren’t used to being in close quarters with our families for days and weeks on end like this! When I realized all of our Spring Break activities would be cancelled I placed a big Amazon order to keep everyone busy during this crazy time. Here’s what’s been a hit for us so far!
2. Blink – We purchased this game over the summer and it’s been a big hit! It’s even fun for just adults to play 🙂
3. Watercolors! – Local artist JC Milner had a fun project suggestion! Paint a few little blobs and let them dry. Come back and use sharpies to turn them into whatever you see! you can find this on her Instagram here.
4. Air Dry Clay- This admittedly is messy! But my kids had fun building with it and we will paint their creations when they are dry in a couple days. Model magic is much less messy but way more expensive!
5. FreeTime Unlimited- My kids have been loving this on our EchoDot for stories and music! It’s a good break from screens for us 🙂 Though they do have screen related stuff too!
That’s it for now! I’ll update this post as we try more projects over the next few weeks! I do also have my course, Snap Happy, a Beginner DSLR class available at no charge right now! It’s totally appropriate for older kids that want to learn to use a camera as well as any adult 🙂 Grab it at https://dearkatestudios.teachable.com/
