My newest niece Clara came to see me at 12 days old for her newborn baby pictures. She was due in early June and my other sister-in-law (the baby of the family!) was scheduled to be married June 15th! Clara’s big brother’s and sister all came in their own time, the latest being born the day after his due date, and the earliest coming almost 2 weeks early; so we were all taking bets on when she would make her grand entrance! Poor mama was trying to decide if her dress for the wedding would need to accommodate a baby bump still! And Miss Clara made us wait! She was born June 13th, early in the morning.
Clara was the longest pregnancy of all 4 kiddos! My own babies liked to bake a long time too! Harper was 7 days past her due date and Drew was induced at 11 days overdue! When it came time for Henry, we chose to induce early to avoid an Independence day baby! He was over 8lbs so I can’t imagine if he’d have stayed on the inside as long as Drew! Miss Clara was born at 9lbs 10.8oz and 20.75″ long! She continues to be the most peaceful little chub and it’s been a blast watching her grow these last few months <3
P.S. Clara was the youngest guest at her aunt’s wedding at just 2 days old! It was so fun for the whole family to be able to meet her right away!
