A big part of this project is just forcing myself to pick up my camera more and I certainly did that this week! As for sticking to the theme, I’ll have to work on that a bit more 😉 The first topic was “line”. As I went through my pictures from this week, one thing became obvious. I need to be more careful of the lines I create that go through my subject or interrupt the path I intend the eye to follow.
In this shot, I used the line of Harper’s arm to draw the viewer into Drew’s face. There is also a less obvious line in this image with Drew’s line of sight. How did this weeks challenge go for you? Please share your results on my wall, even if what you learned was what not to do!
This week’s topic is White Space or Negative Space, which refers to the space around an object of a form. When you are shooting, pay attention to what you are including and excluding from your frame and how the negative space helps to define your subject. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or suggestions 🙂 Can’t wait to see your results!
