Welcome to 2013! The beginning of a year is always an interesting time as we reflect on the past and make goals for the future. Have you made your resolutions? Our family is working on being more organized overall. We’ve set a budget, we’re working on getting schedules figured out, and we are adding more exercise to our lives.

Photography-wise I’m starting a Project 52. I’ve compiled a list of 52 themes or challenges that will guide me to get one excellent picture a week. My hope is that by focusing on something for a week at a time, I’ll train my eye to see things I’m missing and take better images overall. As I’ve watched my business grow there are of course things I’ve learned: 1.) I want you to have all of the memories we capture at your session instead of having them sit on my hard drive and 2.)  I do believe in the quality and beauty of what my professional labs offer, and I believe that your images are best shared with friends and family and displayed as works of art throughout your home. With that said, I’ve decided to overhaul my pricing structure. Sessions will now be a single fee and include digital files of the best of your images. I’ll continue to offer pre-session consultation as to wardrobe, etc. and prints and products will still be available a la carte. In addition, I’ll be happy to guide you in displaying your portraits after your session and showing you what different sizes and arrangements will look like on your walls before you order.
