I love coming into the home of new baby. There is such a sense of calm and tranquility. The house is always warm and inviting, hushed whispers fill the air, and the love that everyone feels is palpable. Loretta’s extended family was soaking it all in on the day of my visit, knowing these days would go quickly. Loretta’s daddy has a new job in Aspen, so the new little family is on the move, but that was subject we avoided. Instead, we watched her breathe, watched her blink her sweet eyes and stretch her arms, and I got to catch it all on camera.

Nicole Johnson of Colie James Photography also joined in the fun of Loretta’s newborn session. It’s always fun to learn from other photographers and watch how they work. Nicole capture a few behind the scenes shots for me as well.
