Family photography is one of the best ways of documenting growth and change in your kids and your family as a whole throughout the years. I adore seeing clients year after year and looking back on how their love for each other and bonds change from year to year. I met this family for the first time two years ago and I was thrilled to hear from mama again this year for updated pictures of her crew.
This year, we met just before sunset in the foothills of Fort Collins to play in the sunshine! September is a great time for family photos because the weather hasn’t gotten too cold yet. There is still some color and leaves on the trees and the sun is shining!
It’s always a goal of mine to capture each of the relationships within a family as well as the group as a whole. When I pulled aside mother and son for a quick picture together, I teared up a bit watching him look up at her. They exchanged some sweet words and a moment that will not be forgotten. That is the magic of a photograph and creating an experience and space for that to happen in.
