I firmly believe that babies have a mind of their own as to when and how they should come into the world. That’s part of the reason I only take a coupld of newborn sessions a month. You just don’t know when a baby will come early or be 2 weeks past due. Brody was breech when I met his mom and dad for their maternity session just before 37 weeks. They had an appointment scheduled the following day to decide wether to schedule a c-section or try to flip him. When I heard from Katie, they had set a c-section date so I emailed back to schedule thier newborn session and get their baby on my calendar within his first 10 days of life. The next email I recieved was that Brody was born! He rocked his newborn session at 9 days old. Slept like a dream and even wore a little bandana like his daddy does when they go backpacking. I love that we were able to incorporate some of Derek and Katie’s favorite things into Brody’s newborn photographs with a mini a-frame tent and little red lantern!
