On St, Patrick’s Day this year, we were enjoying our annual traditions of hanging out at the parade and getting lunch with friends. My brother and his fiance were having a much different St. Pat’s than ever before. They were awaiting the arrival of their first baby. I kept checking in to see how things were going and around 10 pm got the ok to head over to the hospital after Harper had gone to bed for the night. Danielle was doing great and was really hoping Imogene would make it into the world soon. We sat in the waiting patiently waiting to meet our newest family member and just before midnight, my mom heard the lullaby the hospital plays to announce the arrival of a new baby. Danielle got her wish and Imogene was born at 11:58 pm on St. Patrick’s day.
I am by no means a birth photographer but I really loved being able to capture these sweet moments when Imogene was getting to know her family. I cherish these images and love the emotion and expression behind them. I have never seen such joy and pride on my brother’s face.
